Lifelink – it’s function and rework.
In Magic The Gathering, lifelink heals the creature’s controller for an amount of damage equal to the amount of dealt by the creature with lifelink. In the context of Clash Royale however, this would be far too strong, so I need a different way for the ability to work. My initial idea was to make…

New Common Card – Alsied of Life’s Bounty
It’s simply a frail 1 elixir common troop. It is also an enchantment creature so it can be targeted by spells and abilities which target enchantments and/or troops. It has the lifelink ability too, which I will rework very soon.

For the next 10 seconds, your opponents spells will cost…

Card Rarities
Because in both Clash Royale and Magic the Gathering, every card is given a rarity, I will also be assigning every card a rarity. I will stick quite closely to the Clash Royale Rarity system, because in clash royale, a cards Rarity tends to be an indicator of how advanced or complex a cards abilities…

My Goal
My goal with this blog is to combine the complex mechanics of cards from magic the gathering and consider how they would function in a clash royale style battling arena. I expect the combination of both concepts will result in a game with gameplay far more similar to clash royale, but with many new and…
